Coca-Cola: Using Sport Sync Ads during the World Cup in Brazil

The Coca-Cola Company is a worldwide leading beverage company, offering over 500 brands in more than 200 territories.

GOAL

Coca-Cola wanted to reach the highest number of potential customers during Brazil’s fixtures in the 2018 World Cup.

STRATEGY

Coca Cola wanted to maximise its reach on Facebook during the most popular sport event in Brazil, the World Cup.

Adglow developed a solution that leveraged cutting-edge tools, such as TV and Sport Sync, in order to promote Coca Cola’s ads in
real-time during the matches.

We used specific triggers to activate the different ads at key points of the five Brazil games that took place in Russia’s 2018 World Cup. Each ad was directly linked to the game and the fans’ emotions.

Adglow team identified 19 different prompts for each game (red card, yellow, card, free kick, goal, etc.). When those were triggered we used ‘accelerated delivery’ to impact the highest number of users, keeping the bid at the lowest level possible at all other times.
